Microneedling - MPen Pro

    Microneedling

    Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

    What is Microneedling

Microneedling is a method used to deliver Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), a treatment which increases the amount of collagen in the skin.

Collagen is naturally produced in the dermis, and is what gives skin its firm, plump, youthful appearance.  By our late 20's, collagen depletes at 1% or more per year.  By the time we are 40, it's estimated we have lost over between 10 - 20% of collagen, by 50 years of age this could be up to 50%, dependent on general skin health and lifestyle.

    How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling uses tiny needles between 0.25mm and 2.5mm in depth to create micro channels through the skin into the dermis, triggering the bodies own healing process, stimulating the fibroblasts which result in increased collagen production.  It's estimated that one treatment will increase collagen levels by around 1%.  For optimum results, a course of treatments are recommended.

    Benefit from a 3:1 Treatment

In our clinic we deliver treatments in a way which will optimise results and add .  For this reason, we combine our microneedling with a bespoke mesotherapy solution which delivers active ingredients straight into the dermis.  Active ingredients are 300% more effective when delivered into the dermis, which will further target your specific skin concerns.

After treatment, we will harness the healing properties of Dermalux LED device to deliver phototherapy via NIR and Blue light for 20 minutes.

    Indications

    - Acne Scars

    - Fine lines and wrinkles

    - stretch marks

    - surgical scars

    - Enlarged pores

    - Dyschromia (pigmentation conditions)

    When Will I See Results?

Improved skin quality will begin 30 days after treatment, however, more than one treatment is often required for results to be visible initially, with between 2-4 weeks in-between treatments.  The benefits of a microneedling treatment can last for up to 300 days!  A course is recommended for optimum results.

    What Is The Downtime?

After treatment, your skin will be pink like sunburn for  1-2 days.  The skin may feel dry and 'dusty' for around 3-5 days.  Good hydration and the correct skincare is essential during this time.  Complete treatment details and aftercare protocol will be discussed during your consultation.
